Increase in Real Estate Transactions, NPR 4.25 Billion Revenue Collected in the Month of Poush

There has been a significant increase in real estate transactions in Nepal in the Poush month of the current fiscal year. According to the Department of Land Management and Records, a total of NPR 4.25 billion was collected as revenue in Poush, which is an increase compared to the NPR 3.87 billion collected in the month of Mangsir. In Poush, the revenue collection from registration fees, capital gains tax, and service charges amounted to NPR 2.68 billion, NPR 1.60 billion, and NPR 304.3 million, respectively. Among the various land revenue offices in the Kathmandu Valley, the Lagankhel office recorded the highest revenue collection, amounting to NPR 409.4 million, indicating a significant growth in real estate transactions in Lalitpur.

Other land revenue offices also saw an increase in revenue collection. The Bhaktapur office collected NPR 297.6 million, the Dillibazar office collected NPR 219 million, and the Chabahil office collected NPR 229.3 million. Similarly, offices in other districts, including Biratnagar and Inaruwa Sunsari, also reported higher revenue. This upward trend in revenue collection signifies the improvement and growth of the real estate sector, suggesting further expansion in the coming months.
