नेपालमा मूल्यवृद्धि र यसको प्रभाव: वर्तमान स्थिति र भावी चुनौतीहरूInflation in Nepal and Its Impact: Current Situation and Future Challenges
काठमाडौँ, २६ सेप्टेम्बर २०२४ – पछिल्ला पाँच वर्षमा नेपालको अर्थतन्त्रमा महत्त्वपूर्ण परिवर्तन देखिएका छन्, विशेष गरी उपभोक्ता मूल्य सूचकांक (CPI), थोक मूल्य सूचकांक, र तलब तथा ज्याला दर सूचकांकमा। यी सूचकांकहरूले नेपालमा मुद्रास्फीति र आर्थिक स्थायित्वको स्थितिलाई मापन गर्छन्। पछिल्लो तथ्यांक अनुसार केही सूचकांकमा सुधार देखिए पनि केही क्षेत्रहरूमा अझै चासोको विषय बनेको छ।
१. उपभोक्ता मूल्य सूचकांक (CPI) मा कमी:
२०२४/२५ को मध्य-अगस्तसम्म CPI वृद्धिदर ४.१० प्रतिशतमा झरेको छ, जुन अघिल्लो वर्षको ७.५२ प्रतिशत भन्दा कम हो।
यसले मुद्रास्फीति नियन्त्रणमा सरकारको प्रयासहरूलाई सकारात्मक संकेत गरेको छ।
२. खाद्य वस्तुहरूको मूल्य वृद्धिदर उच्च:
खाद्य CPI ६.१७ प्रतिशतमा पुगेको छ, जसले सर्वसाधारणलाई अझै पनि महङ्गीको मारमा पारेको देखाउँछ।
खाद्य वस्तुहरूको उच्च मूल्य वृद्धिदरले जनताको दैनिक जीवनमा प्रत्यक्ष असर पार्दै आएको छ।
३. थोक मूल्य सूचकांकमा सुधार:
२०२३/२४ मा थोक मूल्य सूचकांक ४.३४ प्रतिशतमा घटेको छ, जुन २०२२/२३ को ४.९८ प्रतिशत भन्दा कम हो।
२०२४/२५ को मध्य-अगस्तसम्म यो सूचकांक थप घटेर ३.६६ प्रतिशतमा पुगेको छ।
४. तलब तथा ज्याला दर सूचकांकमा गिरावट:
२०२३/२४ मा तलब तथा ज्याला दर सूचकांक ५.३६ प्रतिशतमा घटेको छ, जुन अघिल्लो वर्षको ८.७१ प्रतिशत भन्दा कम हो।
यसले श्रमिकहरूको क्रय शक्ति घट्ने संकेत गरेको छ, जसले आर्थिक असमानतालाई बढावा दिन सक्छ।
५. भावी चुनौतीहरू:
मुद्रास्फीति नियन्त्रणको प्रयास जारी राख्नुपर्ने छ, विशेष गरी खाद्य वस्तुहरूको मूल्यलाई नियन्त्रण गर्न सरकारको ध्यान केन्द्रित गर्नुपर्ने देखिन्छ।
तलब तथा ज्याला दरमा गिरावट आउनुका कारणहरू अध्ययन गरी दीर्घकालीन समाधान खोज्न आवश्यक छ।
थोक मूल्य सूचकांकको सुधारले आशा दिए पनि यसलाई स्थिर बनाउन आर्थिक नीतिहरूलाई अझ बलियो बनाउनुपर्ने देखिन्छ।
Kathmandu, September 26, 2024 – Over the past five years, Nepal’s economy has undergone significant changes, especially in key indicators like the Consumer Price Index (CPI), National Wholesale Price Index, and Salary and Wage Rate Index. These indices reflect the state of inflation and economic stability in the country. Recent data show improvements in some areas, but concerns remain in others.
1. Decline in Consumer Price Index (CPI):
As of mid-August 2024/25, the CPI growth rate has decreased to 4.10 percent, down from 7.52 percent in the previous year.

The Salary and Wage Rate Index fell to 5.36 percent in 2023/24, down from 8.71 percent in the previous year.
This suggests a reduction in the purchasing power of workers, potentially leading to increased economic inequality.
5. Future Challenges:
Continued efforts are required to control inflation, with a specific focus on stabilizing food prices.
The causes of the decline in the Salary and Wage Rate Index need to be studied to find long-term solutions.
While the improvement in the Wholesale Price Index is encouraging, economic policies need to be strengthened to maintain stability.
