Investment Facilitation Ordinance submitted to Parliament

In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, the 'Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Investment Facilitation, 2081' was presented. The ordinance was presented by the Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari.
Minister Bhandari stated that the ordinance was issued to make the investment environment in Nepal more convenient, as part of the Investment Conference-2081, which was organized to bring about policy reforms and legal amendments.
He clarified that the ordinance was brought because the parliamentary session was not in session. The proposed bill aims to improve the registration of startup industries, extend the operation period of industries, provide clarity on foreign investment and technology transfer, produce goods under contract, and enhance the benefits for industries in special economic zones.
