Bagmati Province is gearing up to present a budget for the upcoming fiscal year that is on par with the current fiscal year. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning has indicated that a budget of approximately NPR 60 billion is being prepared for the next fiscal year. The province plans to present this budget on Asar 1, with a focus on key areas such as agriculture, tourism, education, health, and employment promotion.
Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Jagannath Thapaliya, mentioned, "The budget is being formulated by maximizing the province's revenue levels." Given the reduction in grants from the federal government, it has become necessary to keep the budget similar to the current fiscal year. The policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year have already been approved by the Provincial Assembly, and they include large-scale projects aimed at improving the standard of living.
For the current fiscal year, Bagmati Province had allocated NPR 62.7 billion, with NPR 26.7 billion for current expenditures, NPR 35.5 billion for capital expenditures, and NPR 500 million for financial management.
