८०० मेगावाट सौर्य ऊर्जाको विद्युत् खरिद बिक्री सम्झौता (पीपीए) का लागि ३६०० मेगावाटको आवेदन3,600 MW Applications for 800 MW Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
नेपाल विद्युत् प्राधिकरणले आह्वान गरेको ८०० मेगावाट सौर्य ऊर्जाको विद्युत् खरिद बिक्री सम्झौता (पीपीए) का लागि ३६०० मेगावाट बराबरको आवेदन परेको छ। प्राधिकरणअन्तर्गत विद्युत् व्यापार विभागका निर्देशक राजन ढकालका अनुसार १३४ वटा कम्पनीले करिब ३६०० मेगावाट बराबरको पीपीएका लागि आवेदन दिएका छन्। हाल ती कम्पनीहरूको प्राविधिक मूल्यांकन भइरहेको छ।

प्राधिकरणले आगामी दुई वर्षभित्र थप ८०० मेगावाट विद्युत् सौर्य आयोजनाबाट खरिद गर्ने भन्दै ०८० चैतमा बोलपत्र आह्वान गरेको थियो।
१ सय ३४ कम्पनीहरूले झन्डै ३ सय वटा आयोजना लागि आवेदन दिएका छन्।
एक प्रवर्द्धकले १५० मेगावाटभन्दा बढी नहुने गरी आवेदन दिनुपर्नेछ।
साना आयोजनाहरूले १८ महिनाभित्र र ठूला आयोजनाहरूले दुई वर्षभित्र विद्युत् उपलब्ध गराउनुपर्नेछ।
विद्युत् खरिद बिक्री सम्झौताको मापदण्ड:
प्राधिकरणको स्वामित्वमा रहेका सबस्टेसन नजिक निर्माण हुने सौर्य आयोजनाहरूको पीपीए गर्ने तयारी छ।
सौर्य आयोजनाबाट प्राप्त विद्युत् हिउँदको बढ्दो मागलाई पूरा गर्न प्राथमिकता दिइनेछ।
प्रतिस्पर्धी दरमा प्रस्ताव पेस गर्न आह्वान गरिएको छ, जसमा अधिकतम आधार दर प्रतियुनिट ५ रुपैयाँ ९४ पैसा तोकिएको छ।
पूर्वाधार र हालसम्मको प्रगति:
हालसम्म १७५ मेगावाटको पीपीए सम्पन्न भइसकेको छ, जसमा १०७ मेगावाट सञ्चालनमा छ।
थप ३० मेगावाटका सौर्य आयोजनाहरू पीपीए प्रक्रियामा छन्।
प्राधिकरणको आफ्नै देवीघाट जलविद्युत् केन्द्र परिसरमा २५ मेगावाट क्षमताको सौर्य आयोजना सञ्चालनमा छ।
७५७.७ मेगावाटका ४२ आयोजनाहरूले सर्वेक्षण लाइसेन्स लिएको छ भने ९७.०६ मेगावाटका १४ आयोजना निर्माणाधीन छन्।
प्राधिकरणले प्रतिस्पर्धा मार्फत सौर्य ऊर्जाको पीपीए गर्दा राष्ट्रको विद्युत् आपूर्तिलाई सन्तुलित राख्न र तराईका लोड सेन्टरमा बढ्दो माग पूरा गर्न कदम चालेको छ।
Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has received applications totaling 3,600 MW for an 800 MW solar power purchase agreement (PPA) it had called for. According to Rajan Dhakal, Director of the Power Trade Department under NEA, 134 companies have applied for around 3,600 MW of PPA. Currently, the technical evaluation of these companies is ongoing.

Applications and Process:
The NEA invited bids in Chaitra 2080 to purchase an additional 800 MW of electricity from solar projects within the next two years.
134 companies have applied for nearly 300 projects.
A single promoter is not allowed to apply for more than 150 MW.
Small projects must provide electricity within 18 months, while larger projects have up to two years.
Standards for Power Purchase Agreements:
PPAs will be made for solar projects constructed near substations owned by NEA.
Priority will be given to electricity from solar projects to meet the increasing demand during the winter.
Proposals were invited at competitive rates, with a maximum base rate set at NPR 5.94 per unit.
Infrastructure and Current Progress:
So far, PPAs for 175 MW have been completed, of which 107 MW are operational.
Additional solar projects of 30 MW are in the PPA process.
A 25 MW solar project is operational within the premises of NEA's own Devighat Hydropower Center.
Survey licenses have been issued for 42 projects with a total capacity of 757.7 MW, while 14 projects with a combined capacity of 97.06 MW are under construction.
By conducting PPAs for solar energy through competitive bidding, NEA aims to balance the national electricity supply and meet the increasing demand at load centers in the Terai region.
