६६९ मेगावाटको तल्लो अरुण जलविद्युत् आयोजना: २६८ परिवार प्रभावित, मुआब्जा १ अर्ब ४० करोड 669 MW Lower Arun Hydropower Project: 268 Families Affected, Compensation of NPR 1.4 Billion
पूर्वी पहाडी जिल्ला सङ्खुवासभामा निर्माण हुन लागेको ६६९ मेगावाट क्षमताको तल्लो अरुण जलविद्युत् आयोजनाले २६८ परिवारलाई प्रत्यक्ष रूपमा प्रभावित बनाउने भएको छ। भारतीय सतलज कम्पनीद्वारा प्रस्तावित पुनर्वास तथा पुनःस्थापनाको मस्यौदा प्रतिवेदनअनुसार आयोजनाका लागि करिब ६५ हेक्टर निजी जमिन, ७० हेक्टर वन क्षेत्र र ६ हेक्टर सरकारी जमिन अधिग्रहण गरिनेछ।
मुआब्जा वितरण र प्रभावित क्षेत्र:
तल्लो अरुण पावर डेभलपमेन्ट कम्पनीका प्रमुख कार्यकारी निर्देशक अरुण धिमानका अनुसार, प्रभावित परिवारहरूलाई करिब १ अर्ब ४० करोड रुपैयाँ मुआब्जा वितरण गरिनेछ। आयोजना निर्माणको तयारीसँगै प्रभावित क्षेत्रका स्थानीय बासिन्दासँग भारतीय सतलज कम्पनीले छलफल अघि बढाएको छ।
जलविद्युत् उत्पादनमा महत्वपूर्ण योगदान:
तल्लो अरुण आयोजना ९०० मेगावाटको अरुण तेस्रो जलविद्युत् उत्पादनपछि खेर गएको पानीको उपयोग गर्दै निर्माण गरिँदैछ। खाँदबारी नगरपालिका–२, चेवाबेसीमा १७.४ किलोमिटर सुरुङ मार्गबाट पानी ल्याएर आयोजना निर्माणको काम अघि बढाइनेछ।
यस आयोजनाको निर्माणसँगै स्थानीय क्षेत्रको विकासमा योगदान पुग्ने र देशको कुल विद्युत् उत्पादनमा थप वृद्धि हुने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।
जलविद्युत् आयोजनाका फाइदा:
जलविद्युत् परियोजना सम्पन्न भएपछि स्थानीय बासिन्दाहरूको जीविकोपार्जनमा सुधार हुने, रोजगारीका अवसरहरू सिर्जना हुने र पूर्वाधार विकासमा पनि टेवा पुग्नेछ। आयोजना निर्माणपछि वातावरण संरक्षणका कार्यक्रम पनि अघि बढाइने कम्पनीले जनाएको छ।
The 669 MW Lower Arun Hydropower Project, set to be constructed in the eastern hilly district of Sankhuwasabha, will directly impact 268 families. According to the draft report of the resettlement and rehabilitation plan proposed by the Indian Satluj company, approximately 65 hectares of private land, 70 hectares of forest area, and 6 hectares of government land will be acquired for the project.
Compensation Distribution and Affected Areas:
Arun Dhiman, CEO of Lower Arun Power Development Company, stated that around NPR 1.4 billion will be distributed as compensation to the affected families. The Indian Satluj company has begun discussions with the local residents of the affected areas as part of the project's preparation.
Significant Contribution to Hydropower Production:
The Lower Arun project will utilize the water left over from the 900 MW Arun III Hydropower Project. The construction will proceed by bringing water through a 17.4-kilometer tunnel at Chewabesi, Khadbari Municipality-2.
The project's construction is expected to contribute to the development of the local area and further increase the country's total electricity production.
Benefits of the Hydropower Project:
Upon completion, the hydropower project will improve the livelihoods of local residents, create job opportunities, and support infrastructure development. The company has also indicated that environmental conservation programs will be initiated following the project's construction.
