गोरखा — चुमनुब्री गाउँपालिका हुँदै बग्ने बूढीगण्डकी नदीमा आएको आकस्मिक बाढीले निर्माणाधीन चारवटा जलविद्युत् आयोजनामा व्यापक क्षति पुर्याएको छ। आइतबार बिहान लेदो र गेग्रानसहित आएको बाढीका कारण कुल ४१२ मेगावाटभन्दा बढी क्षमताका ती आयोजनाका भौतिक संरचना र उपकरणमा नोक्सानी पुगेको हो।
स्वतन्त्र ऊर्जा उत्पादकहरूको संस्था, नेपाल (इपान) का अनुसार सबैभन्दा बढी मारमा टाइम्स इनर्जीद्वारा निर्माणाधीन ३४१ मेगावाटको बूढीगण्डकी जलविद्युत् आयोजना परेको छ। बाढीले उक्त आयोजनाको मुख्य क्याम्प क्षेत्रसहित महत्त्वपूर्ण निर्माण उपकरणहरू बगाएको छ। त्यसैगरी, २४.५ मेगावाट क्षमताको दोभान खोला आयोजनाको बेलिब्रिज र क्याम्पका घरहरू पनि बाढीको चपेटामा परेका छन्।
यसका साथै, ३०.५९ मेगावाटको यारु खोला आयोजनाको बेलिब्रिज, निर्माण सामग्री र उपकरण बाढीले बगाएको छ भने १६ मेगावाटको माछा खोला आयोजनामा पुग्ने पहुँच मार्ग र पुल भत्किएको छ। नदीको तटीय क्षेत्रमा बाढीले पुर्याएको क्षतिको विस्तृत विवरण भने संकलन भइरहेको इपानले जनाएको छ।
Gorkha — A sudden flash flood in the Budhi Gandaki River, flowing through Tsum Nubri Rural Municipality, has caused extensive damage to four under-construction hydropower projects. The flood, carrying heavy mud and debris on Sunday morning, battered the physical infrastructure and equipment of projects with a combined capacity of over 412 megawatts.
According to the Independent Power Producers' Association, Nepal (IPPAN), the 341 MW Budhi Gandaki Hydropower Project, being developed by Times Energy, bore the brunt of the disaster. The raging river swept away the project's main camp area and crucial construction equipment. Similarly, the 24.5 MW Dobhan Khola project saw its bailey bridge washed away and camp houses severely damaged.
The devastation also extended to the 30.59 MW Yaru Khola project, which lost its bailey bridge, construction materials, and machinery to the floodwaters. Additionally, the access road and approach bridge leading to the 16 MW Macha Khola project were destroyed. IPPAN stated that a detailed assessment of the overall destruction along the riverbanks is currently underway.
