रसुवास्थित भोटेकोशी नदीमा आएको विनाशकारी बाढीबाट प्रभावितहरूको सहायतार्थ नेपाल उद्योग परिसंघ (सिएनआई) ले ५ करोड २९ लाख १५ हजार रुपैयाँ आर्थिक सहयोग गरेको छ। परिसंघका अध्यक्ष वीरेन्द्रराज पाण्डेको नेतृत्वमा गएको उद्योगीहरूको टोलीले शुक्रबार अर्थ मन्त्रालय पुगेर अर्थमन्त्री डा. स्वर्णिम वाग्लेलाई उक्त रकम बराबरको चेक हस्तान्तरण गरेको हो।
परिसंघमा आबद्ध विभिन्न व्यावसायिक घराना तथा संस्थाहरूबाट यो राहत रकम जुटाइएको हो। जसमा एमएडब्लू ग्रुपले १ करोड ११ लाख र हिमालयन बुलियन कम्पनीले १ करोड १ लाख रुपैयाँ योगदान गरेका छन्। त्यसैगरी, जावलाखेल डिस्टिलरी, हिमालयन डिस्टिलरी र परिसंघका गभर्निङ काउन्सिल सदस्य विजयकुमार शाहले जनही १–१ करोड रुपैयाँ सहयोग उपलब्ध गराएका छन्। परिसंघका अनुसार अन्य आधा दर्जन साना–ठूला कम्पनीहरूले समेत गच्छेअनुसारको रकम कोषमा जम्मा गरेका छन् भने नेपाल आदर्श निर्माण कम्पनीले १० लाख दिने प्रतिबद्धता जनाएको छ।
यसअघि पनि परिसंघकै पहल र समन्वयमा ठूला कर्पोरेट हाउसहरूबाट बाढीपीडितका लागि मोटो रकम संकलन भइसकेको छ। चौधरी ग्रुप र नबिल बैंकको तर्फबाट १५ करोडभन्दा बढी तथा गोर्खा ब्रुअरीबाट १० करोड रुपैयाँ प्रधानमन्त्री दैवी प्रकोप उद्धार कोषमा जम्मा भइसकेको परिसंघले जनाएको छ।
शुक्रबारको चेक हस्तान्तरण कार्यक्रममा परिसंघका वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष निर्वाण चौधरी, पूर्वअध्यक्ष शतिसकुमार मोर, उपाध्यक्ष राजबहादुर शाहलगायतका पदाधिकारीहरूको उपस्थिति थियो। विपद्को यस घडीमा राज्यको एक्लो प्रयासले मात्रै पुनर्निर्माण र राहत सम्भव नहुने भन्दै परिसंघले सम्पूर्ण निजी क्षेत्रलाई खुला हृदयले सहयोग गर्न अपिलसमेत गरेको छ। यो अग्रसरताले विपद् व्यवस्थापन र पूर्वाधार निर्माणमा निजी क्षेत्रको दरिलो उपस्थिति देखाएको छ।
In a bid to support the victims of the devastating Bhotekoshi River floods in Rasuwa, the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has contributed NPR 52.91 million to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. A CNI delegation led by its President, Birendra Raj Pandey, officially handed over the check to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle at the Ministry of Finance on Friday.
The relief amount was pooled from various corporate houses and business enterprises affiliated with the confederation. Among the major contributors, the MAW Group provided NPR 11.1 million, and Himalayan Bullion Company donated NPR 10.1 million. Similarly, Jawalakhel Distillery, Himalayan Distillery, and CNI Governing Council member Vijay Kumar Shah each contributed NPR 10 million. Several other smaller enterprises also made financial contributions, while Nepal Adarsha Nirman Company has pledged NPR 1 million to the cause.
The CNI noted that it had already facilitated massive donations from major corporate entities for the flood victims prior to this handover. Under the confederation’s coordination, over NPR 150 million from Chaudhary Group and Nabil Bank, along with NPR 100 million from Gorkha Brewery, have already been deposited into the government's relief fund.
Friday's handover ceremony was attended by key CNI officials, including Senior Vice President Nirvana Chaudhary, Former President Satish Kumar More, and Vice President Raj Bahadur Shah. Stressing that the government alone cannot shoulder the massive burden of post-disaster recovery, the CNI has appealed to the entire private sector to contribute generously to the ongoing relief and reconstruction efforts.
