वैदेशिक रोजगारको नाममा ६६ लाख ठगी गर्ने चार जना पक्राउFour Arrested for Embezzling NPR 6.68 Million in Foreign Employment Fraud
विदेशमा रोजगारीको प्रलोभन देखाउँदै ६६ लाख ८० हजार रुपैयाँ ठगी गरेको आरोपमा प्रहरीले चार जनालाई पक्राउ गरी सार्वजनिक गरेको छ।
पक्राउ पर्नेमा गोरखा गण्डकी गाउँपालिका–२ का कुलबहादुर थापा (४३), गोरखा गण्डकी नगरपालिका–२ का राजन आले (३१), पर्सा वीरगञ्ज–१६ का जयप्रकाश चौरसिया (३०) र भक्तपुर सूर्यबिनायक नगरपालिका–५ का आकाश दुलाल (२७) रहेका छन्। काठमाडौँ उपत्यका अपराध अनुसन्धान कार्यालयका सूचना अधिकारी एवं प्रहरी उपरीक्षक काजीकुमार आचार्यका अनुसार यी व्यक्तिहरूले बेरोजगार युवालाई आकर्षक तलबको प्रलोभन देखाएर विभिन्न देशमा रोजगारीका लागि पठाउने बहानामा ठगी गरेका हुन्।
पक्राउ परेकामध्ये थापा र आलेले अमेरिका पठाइदिने भन्दै ५९ लाख २५ हजार, चौरसियाले अजरबैजान पठाइदिने भन्दै ४ लाख र दुलालले युएई पठाइदिने भन्दै ३ लाख ५५ हजार रकम असुलेका थिए। उनीहरूले रकम लिएर सम्पर्कविहीन भएपछि पीडितहरूले उजुरी दिएका थिए।
ठगीका अभियुक्तहरूलाई थप अनुसन्धान र कारबाहीका लागि वैदेशिक रोजगार विभाग, ताहाचल काठमाडौँमा पठाइएको प्रहरीले जानकारी दिएको छ।
Police have arrested four individuals accused of defrauding NPR 6.68 million under the pretense of providing foreign employment opportunities.
The arrested individuals are identified as Kul Bahadur Thapa (43) from Gorkha Gandaki Rural Municipality–2, currently residing in Bharatpur Metropolitan City–10, Chitwan; Rajan Ale (31) from Gorkha Gandaki Municipality–2, currently residing in Nagarjun, Kathmandu; Jay Prakash Chaurasiya (30) from Birgunj–16, Parsa; and Akash Dulal (27) from Suryabinayak Municipality–5, Bhaktapur. According to Superintendent of Police Kaji Kumar Acharya, the spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, these individuals lured unemployed youths with promises of high-paying jobs abroad, deceiving them for extended periods without fulfilling their commitments.
Among the accused, Thapa and Ale collected NPR 5.92 million by promising jobs in the United States, Chaurasiya took NPR 400,000 from one individual to facilitate employment in Azerbaijan, and Dulal received NPR 355,000 by claiming to arrange jobs in the UAE. After taking the money, they went out of contact, prompting the victims to file complaints.
The arrested individuals have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, Kathmandu, for further investigation and legal action, as per the police spokesperson.
