The price of precious metals in Nepal has declined today, with both gold and silver experiencing a drop. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold, which had reached a record high on Sunday, has fallen by 1,700 rupees per tola and is now being traded at 184,300 rupees.
On Sunday, gold was traded at 186,000 rupees per tola — the highest rate recorded so far. However, today's decrease has brought some relief to consumers.
Similarly, the price of silver has also gone down. It is now being traded at 1,945 rupees per tola, which is 15 rupees less than the previous rate.
In the international market, gold prices are also fluctuating. Currently, gold is trading at around 3,225 US dollars per ounce, which has influenced the local market as well.
Analysts suggest that factors such as the value of the US dollar, interest rates, and geopolitical developments are contributing to the volatility in global precious metals prices.
