Growth Rate of Deposits and Credit Investment in the Banking System

According to the latest data from Nepal Rastra Bank, the trend of increased deposits in the banking system continues. Both total deposits and credit investments of banks and financial institutions have shown growth.
Total Deposits:
As of Bhadra 27, the total deposits in the banking system reached NPR 6.5 trillion (NPR 6,505 billion).
Until Bhadra 25, the total deposits stood at NPR 6.496 trillion (NPR 6,496 billion).
There has been an increase of NPR 9 billion in total deposits over two days.
Total Credit Investment:
On Bhadra 27, the total credit investment by banks was NPR 5.213 trillion (NPR 5,213 billion).
Until Bhadra 25, the total credit investment stood at NPR 5.209 trillion (NPR 5,209 billion).
There has been an increase of NPR 4 billion in total credit investment over two days.
CD Ratio and Interbank Interest Rate:
The average CD (Credit to Deposit) ratio of banks was 78.78% on Bhadra 27, slightly up from 78.75% on Bhadra 25.
The interbank interest rate remains at 3%.
The growth in both deposits and credit investments in the banking system indicates increased opportunities for banks to invest further, contributing to the stability of the banking system and the growth of the economy.
