Bikash Hydropower’s IPO Opens from Today, Applications Open Until Ashad 22

Bikash Hydropower Company Limited has opened its Initial Public Offering (IPO) for the general public starting today, Ashad 18 (July 2). The company is issuing a total of 2,942,760 shares worth NPR 294.27 million to the public.

Investors can apply for a minimum of 10 shares and a maximum of 10,000 shares. The application deadline is Ashad 22 (July 6), but it may be extended to Ashad 32 (July 16) if the issue is not fully subscribed by then.

Nepal Securities Board (SEBON) had granted the company approval to issue 4,454,596 shares in total, equivalent to 49% of its NPR 909.1 million authorized capital. Out of this, 909,101 shares have already been issued and allocated to locals affected by the project, and 354,550 shares were allocated to Nepali citizens working abroad.

In addition, 70,910 shares have been reserved for the company’s employees, while 177,275 shares have been allocated to mutual funds.

Bikash Hydropower has developed a 4.55 MW Upper Machhakhola Hydropower Project located in Dharche Rural Municipality–4, Gorkha, which has been in commercial operation since Falgun 2079 (February 2023).

Interested applicants can apply through the MeroShare portal or via ASBA-approved banks and financial institutions. The funds raised from the IPO will be used to recover project costs and support future expansion plans.
