Investors Advised to Stay Cautious: Keshav Koirala Warns Against Non-Fundamental Stocks

Kathmandu, Dhumbarahi – Renowned Nepali investor Keshav Koirala, popularly known as "Kaka," has urged investors not to chase quick profits in the stock market. Speaking at an investor awareness program organized by Broker No. 63 (Himalayan Brokerage) in Kathmandu’s Dhumbarahi, he emphasized the risks of investing in non-fundamental stocks.

During the event, Koirala highlighted the growing trend of investors seeking high returns from non-fundamental stocks, which often leads to significant losses. Drawing a parallel to the situation faced by Karnali Development Bank, he cautioned against taking excessive risks for big profits. He also pointed out that the market struggles to rise without an increase in investments in companies with strong fundamentals.

Special guest Jagannath Thapaliya, popularly known as "Mama," also addressed the gathering, noting that the dominance of traders in the market has hindered its growth. He called for a balance between trading and long-term investments to stabilize the market.

Balram Rai of Broker No. 63 assured the attendees that the brokerage firm will continue conducting such training programs across the country to educate and guide investors. He reiterated their commitment to promoting informed and safe investment practices.

Participants expressed appreciation for the program, stating that it provided valuable insights to make better investment decisions in the volatile stock market.
