Janautthan Samudayic Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. has published its unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter of FY 2081/82, reporting a net profit of NPR 146.5 million. In the same period last year, the institution had posted a net profit of NPR 121.4 million.

The total assets of the microfinance institution reached NPR 2.397 billion during the review period. On the liabilities side, the paid-up capital stood at NPR 170.09 million, reserves and surplus at NPR 89.94 million, deposits at NPR 954.78 million, and borrowings at NPR 1.096 billion.

In terms of income, the institution generated NPR 308.33 million in interest income, with interest expenses amounting to NPR 160.30 million, resulting in a net interest income of NPR 148.02 million. Other operating income stood at NPR 23.93 million, bringing the total operating income to NPR 171.96 million.

Operating profit before provisions stood at NPR 64.50 million, with NPR 53.85 million allocated for possible loan losses. The Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio stood at 6.16%, capital adequacy ratio at 10.55%, base rate at 12.78%, and interest rate spread at 6.19% for the period.
