Koshi Province Investment Summit Postponed to Baisakh 18 and 19

The Koshi Province government has postponed the previously scheduled Investment Summit from Magh 11, 12, and 13 to Baisakh 18 and 19. The decision was made during a cabinet meeting held on Thursday, citing inadequate preparations for the event.

Earlier, the opposition party, CPN (Maoist Centre), had criticized the government for the lack of proper preparation for the summit. Similarly, disputes arose between the provincial government and private sector industrialists and entrepreneurs regarding the venue and execution of the summit. Government officials have acknowledged these issues as reasons for postponing the event.

In the same cabinet meeting, the government decided to present several bills in the provincial assembly, including amendments to the Act on Duties, Rights, and Services of the Chief Attorney of 2075, a bill on managing hazardous pesticides, and a bill on seed management.

Additionally, the government has decided to discuss the Provincial Mass Communication Bill in the Law, Justice, and Provincial Affairs Committee before presenting it. These decisions were shared by government spokesperson and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Revati Raman Bhandari.
