Kathmandu — Kumari Bank Limited is set to sell 100,000 promoter shares, currently owned by some of its promoter shareholders, to the general public. As per the regulatory provisions of the Nepal Rastra Bank, existing promoters hold the first right of refusal when promoter shares are sold. Consequently, the bank had previously issued a notice exclusively for them. However, since no applications were received from the existing promoters within the stipulated timeframe, the bank has now opened the sale of these shares to any interested individual or institution from the general public.
This process was initiated after several promoter shareholders submitted formal requests to the bank expressing their intent to divest their holdings. The bank has not fixed a minimum asking price for these shares; instead, the published notice specifies that the selling price will be mutually determined as per the seller's demand.
General investors interested in purchasing these shares must submit their applications within 15 days from the date the notice was published. According to the bank, physical applications can be submitted either at the office of its share registrar, Kumari Capital Limited in Nagpokhari, Naxal, or directly at the Kumari Bank Limited head office located in Tangal.
