Nepal Reappoints Shankar Prasad Sharma as Ambassador to India

On December 18, 2024, President Ramchandra Paudel, upon the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, reappointed Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma as Nepal's ambassador to India. This marks Dr. Sharma's second tenure in this significant diplomatic position.

Dr. Sharma's extensive experience includes serving as Nepal's ambassador to the United States from 2009 to 2014. He has also held the position of vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission and has been a member of various national and international economic and development committees.
