छुट्याइएको बजेट खर्च नहुने समस्या Problem of Unspent Allocated Budget

Due to the failure to spend the allocated budget for the current fiscal year, various government bodies have returned over NPR 5 billion to the Ministry of Finance. Most of the returned amount falls under the capital expenditure category. The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation returned NPR 2.35 billion, while MCA-Nepal returned about NPR 2 billion. Similarly, the Ministries of Communication, Tourism, Election Commission, and Land Management returned budgets under current expenditure. MCA-Nepal, once again this year, managed to spend only about 58% of its budget. Budget spending failed mainly due to project delays and slow compensation distribution.
