Standard Chartered Bank Limited (SCB) has recently released its audited financial report for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2081. According to the report, both the bank's net profit and interest income have decreased compared to the previous fiscal year.

Net Profit: By the end of fiscal year 2081, the bank has earned a net profit of NPR 3.309 billion, which is a 4.51% decrease compared to the same period last year. The net profit for the same period last year was NPR 3.465 billion.
Net Interest Income: The bank's net interest income has decreased by 13.46%, reaching NPR 5.154 billion. This decline has negatively impacted the bank's overall profitability.
Fee and Commission Income: The bank's net fee and commission income, however, increased by 10.27%, reaching NPR 1.415 billion, providing some improvement to the bank's overall income.
Operating Income and Profit: The bank's total operating income has decreased by 7.53%, and operating profit has declined by 4.53%, adding to the financial challenges faced by the bank.
Financial Position and Future Challenges:
During the review period, the bank's earnings per share (EPS) dropped by NPR 1.66, falling to NPR 35.09. Additionally, the distributable EPS stands at NPR 26.50. The bank's net worth per share is NPR 218.04, showing only a slight improvement compared to the previous year.
