Kathmandu - Unilever Nepal Limited has announced a cash dividend of NPR 1,714 per share for its shareholders this year. The decision was made during the company's Board of Directors meeting held on Wednesday, where they approved the cash dividend distribution from the profits of the fiscal year 2080/81.
Last year, Unilever Nepal distributed a cash dividend of NPR 1,580 per share. The increase in this year's dividend is seen as a positive signal for investors, further strengthening their confidence in the company's stability and ongoing success.
The declared cash dividend will be available to shareholders only after it is approved at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). For the purpose of the AGM, the company has decided to close its books from Ashoj 28 to Kartik 12.
During this period, the company's shares will not be available for trading. Additionally, only those who purchase Unilever Nepal Limited shares by Ashoj 23 will be eligible to participate in the AGM and receive the declared cash dividend.
This decision is expected to generate increased enthusiasm and trust among the investors. Unilever Nepal has consistently distributed dividends in previous years, maintaining strong investor interest in the company.
