Wagle added that the Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Management Board, Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited, the Project Implementation Directorate, and the Water Supply and Sanitation Tariff Fixation Commission will be merged into a single structure.

Kathmandu — The government will ensure round-the-clock clean drinking water through a smart distribution system within the next five years, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle announced through the budget.
Wagle said safe and clean drinking water services will be provided to 65 percent of citizens within the next three years and to one hundred percent within five years.
To ensure the quality, fee structure, and service obligations of the water supply, the Finance Minister said the regulatory system will be strengthened.
He said the existing tariff structure will be reviewed to ensure sustainable drinking water services in the Kathmandu Valley.
