How to Apply for Cyprus Online eVisa: Step-by-Step Guide for Nepali Citizens

If you're a Nepali citizen planning to visit Cyprus for tourism purposes, you can apply for a Cyprus Short-Stay Visa (Category C), which allows you to stay in Cyprus for up to 90 days. The Cyprus eVisa is ideal for travelers who want to explore the country for leisure or recreation. Below is a detailed guide on how to apply for the Cyprus Online eVisa, the required documents, and the necessary steps for Nepali applicants.

Visa Fees and Charges

To apply for a Cyprus Short-Stay Visa, you need to pay the visa fees and additional service charges. The visa fee for a short-stay visa is €90. Additionally, applicants from Nepal will be charged a two-way international courier fee of NPR 3,736, which is collected at the visa application center. The VFS service fee is €613. Make sure to have these fees ready before submission.

Required Documents

The following documents are required to support your visa application:

  1. Application Form: Complete the visa application form and sign it. If the applicant is a minor, both parents or legal guardians must sign the application.

  3. Employment Letter: A letter from your employer confirming your employment status and granting you leave for the duration of the trip.

  4. Passport-Size Photos: Two recent passport-size photos (35mm x 45mm), signed at the back, not older than 6 months, with a white background and no software corrections.

  6. Affidavit for Minors: For children under 18, a signed affidavit from both parents is required, particularly if the child is traveling alone.

  7. Flight Itinerary: A two-way flight reservation.

  8. Proof of Accommodation: Hotel reservations, rental of holiday homes, or an invitation from a host (family or friends). If staying with someone, provide proof of sponsorship.

  9. Bank Statements: Original bank statements for the last three months, stamped and signed by the bank.

  10. Tax Declaration: Photocopy of the tax declaration for the last three years.

  11. Employer's Letter: A letter from the employer explaining the applicant’s role and the purpose of the trip.

  12. Invitation Letters: Invitation letters from a host in Cyprus or for business trips.

Nepal Begins Budget Work, Sets Up Revenue Advisory Committee to Shape Tax and Economic Reforms

Nepal Begins Budget Work, Sets Up Revenue Advisory Committee to Shape Tax and Economic Reforms Kathmandu — Nepal’s Ministry of Finance has formally kicked off the process of preparing the national budget for the upcoming fiscal year by constituting a Revenue Advisory Committee, signaling the start of the government’s annual fiscal planning cycle. Officials say the move is aimed at collecting structured policy input before the budget ceiling, priorities, and tax proposals are finalized. According to the ministry, the committee has been formed under a decision of Finance Minister Rameshwar Prasad Khanal dated Magh 28 (Nepali calendar), with the Ministry’s Revenue Secretary serving as coordinator. The ministry’s spokesperson, Tank Prasad Pandey, said the committee has already started work, indicating that early-stage consultations and technical reviews are now underway. At its core, the committee’s mandate is broader than routine “tax suggestions.” It has been asked to advise on the economic context and on what the budget should prioritize—meaning it can influence both the revenue strategy (how the state raises money) and the policy direction (where the state plans to intervene, reform, or incentivize). In practice, such committees often become the route through which competing interests—business groups, sector associations, experts, and government agencies—try to shape the budget narrative.
