Indonesia eVisa Requirements for Nepali Passport Holders Explained

For Nepali passport holders, applying for an Indonesia eVisa is simple, fast, and paperless. With a valid passport, a small visa fee, and a clear bank statement, Nepali citizens can secure a 60-day stay visa processed entirely online. Indonesia eVisa Requirements for Nepali Passport Holders Explained

Applying for an Indonesia eVisa has become straightforward and fully online for Nepali passport holders. The Indonesian government’s Molina Immigration System now allows Nepali citizens to apply for the C1 Tourist Visa (60 Days Stay, Extendable) directly through its official website — without visiting the embassy or submitting physical papers. This system simplifies travel procedures for tourism, family visits, and participation in non-commercial events such as conventions or exhibitions.

The C1 eVisa allows Nepali travelers to stay in Indonesia for up to 60 days, and it can be extended if needed. The total cost for this visa is IDR 1,000,000 (around NPR 8,500–9,000), and the application is processed within five working days. Once approved, the visa is sent directly to your registered email in PDF format, which you can print and present at the airport upon arrival.

To qualify for an Indonesian eVisa, Nepali passport holders must meet specific eligibility and documentation requirements. The applicant’s passport must be valid for at least 6 months at the time of entry. For those holding emergency or temporary travel documents, the passport must be valid for 12 months. Additionally, applicants must prove they are financially capable of supporting themselves during their stay by submitting a personal bank statementshowing a minimum balance of USD 2,000 (or equivalent in NPR) over the last 3 months. The statement must include the account holder’s name, the statement period, and the balance.

A recent color photograph (with a white background, passport size) is also required. In some cases, additional documents like hotel booking confirmation, flight itinerary, or invitation letters (if visiting family or attending events) can strengthen the application. All documents must be clear, readable, and uploaded in PDF or JPG formatthrough the online portal.

Applicants must use the official Indonesian eVisa platform — https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/ — to create an account, complete the form, upload the documents, and make the online payment. Payment can be made via credit or debit card (Visa/MasterCard). After submission, the visa will be reviewed, and approval details will be emailed to the applicant. Travelers must enter Indonesia within 90 days of visa issuance; otherwise, it becomes invalid. The visa validity (90 days) and the stay duration (60 days) are different — this distinction is crucial for all travelers.

Holders of the Indonesian C1 eVisa can visit for tourism, attend social events, visit family or friends, and participate in conventions or exhibitions, but cannot engage in any profit-making or employment activities. Violation of visa terms can lead to fines, deportation, or legal actions. However, travelers are allowed to extend or convert the visa to another type through the local immigration office during their stay.

If you want professional assistance with your visa processing, Yatra for Fun Pvt.
