Malaysia e-Visa Fees and Online Payment Methods for Nepali Citizens

For Nepali citizens applying for Malaysia e-Visa, the total cost includes a Visa Fee of RM 20, a Processing Fee of RM 105, and a small service charge depending on the payment method. Payment can only be made online via the official MYVISA portal, and it is non-refundable. By using valid cards or e-wallets and confirming all details before paying, applicants can ensure smooth processing and avoid unnecessary financial loss.

Malaysia e-Visa Fees and Online Payment Methods for Nepali Citizens

Applying for a Malaysia e-Visa from Nepal requires applicants to pay certain fees online through the official Immigration Department of Malaysia portal (https://malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my). The total cost includes three parts — the Visa Fee, Processing Fee, and a small Convenience (Service) Charge depending on the payment method used.

For Nepali citizens, the Visa Fee is fixed at RM 20, while the Processing Fee charged by the Malaysian government is RM 105. These two are mandatory for all nationalities applying under the tourist or visit category. In addition, the online payment gateway adds a convenience charge to cover the cost of transaction services. This is usually 0.8% of the total amount if paid by credit/debit card (MasterCard or Visa) and 1.7% if paid using e-Wallets like Alipay or WeChat Pay.

Applicants must pay these fees only through the official MYVISA system; payments made through any other website or agent are not recognized. Once the payment is made, it cannot be refunded — even if the visa application is rejected or withdrawn. Therefore, it’s crucial to ensure that all information and documents are accurate before proceeding with payment.

Online Payment Procedure:

  1. Complete your e-Visa application form on https://malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my.

  2. Review all uploaded documents (passport, photo, flight ticket, accommodation, etc.).

  3. When you reach the payment stage, select your preferred method — credit/debit card or e-wallet.

  4. Enter your details and complete the online payment in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).

  5. Download and save the payment receipt, as it acts as proof of transaction.

  6. Visa processing begins only after successful payment.

Important Notes:

  • The total estimated cost for Nepali applicants is roughly RM 125–130 (around NPR 3,700–3,900 depending on currency rates).

  • Always enable international transactions on your card before payment.

  • If the payment page shows an error, clear your browser cache or try another card or device.

  • If multiple payments are deducted, contact the Live Chat Support on the portal immediately.

  • The payment receipt should always be kept until visa approval.
