Turkey Tourist eVisa for Nepali Citizens 2026: New Rules

Turkey Tourist eVisa for Nepali Citizens 2026: New Rules

Turkey has become one of the most attractive destinations for Nepali travelers because of its unique blend of Europe and Asia, rich Ottoman history, stunning landscapes, halal-friendly tourism, and vibrant cities like Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Antalya. In 2026, Nepalese passport holders planning to travel to Turkey for tourism, leisure, or short visits must follow the updated Türkiye visa rules issued by the Embassy of Türkiye and processed through VFS Global. Turkey does not offer visa-on-arrival for Nepali citizens, and a visa must be obtained before travel.

Applicants residing in Nepal can apply for a Turkey Tourist Visa up to 60–90 days in advance, depending on the visa category and travel plan. Tourist visas are issued as single-entry or multiple-entry visas, with validity depending on the approval granted by Turkish authorities.

Visa Authority & Application Channel

All Turkey tourist visa applications from Nepal are processed through the Türkiye Visa Application Centres (VFS Global). The competent authority for issuing visas is the Embassy of Türkiye in New Delhi, India. Applicants must submit their documents in person (or through an authorized representative) at VFS Global, strictly following the document order and submission guidelines.

Turkey Tourist Visa Types & Fees (2026)

Nepali applicants can apply for different visa types depending on their travel needs. Visa fees are payable via Demand Draft in Indian Rupees and service fees in Nepalese Rupees.

Official Visa Fees (INR):
Single Entry Visa Fee – INR 5,400
Multiple Entry Visa Fee – INR 16,200
Single Transit Visa Fee – INR 5,400
Double Transit Visa Fee – INR 10,800

The demand draft must be in favour of “Türkiye Embassy Consular Account Number 409000401176”, payable in New Delhi, India. A bank counter is available at the VFS office to assist applicants in preparing the demand draft, with an additional charge of NPR 1,375.

Türkiye Visa Application Service Fees (NPR, incl. VAT):
Single Entry (Validity up to 3 Months) – NPR 20,945
Single/Multiple Entry (Validity up to 6 Months) – NPR 24,170
Single/Multiple Entry (Validity up to 1 Year) – NPR 27,395

Service fees must be paid in cash or via QR only at the visa centre and are non-refundable.

Mandatory Documents for Turkey Tourist Visa

Applicants must prepare a complete and accurate document file, as incomplete applications may result in delays or rejection.

A Visa Application Form must be filled manually using blue or black ink in block letters, signed by the applicant (or legal guardian for minors), with one biometric photograph affixed. The applicant’s signature must match across all documents.

A valid passport is mandatory and must be valid for at least six months upon arrival in Turkey, containing at least two blank pages. If the passport was issued outside the jurisdiction of the Turkish Consulate General in New Delhi, valid local address proof must be submitted.

Applicants must provide two recent biometric photographs (2.5 x 2.5 inches), white background, taken within the last six months, with full face visibility and no spectacles.

A detailed covering letter is required, explaining the purpose of travel, full itinerary, duration of stay, occupation, accompanying persons, and expense details. Travel dates mentioned in the cover letter must match all other documents. Employed applicants must submit an original leave letter from their employer on company letterhead.

Students must submit a No Objection Letter from their educational institution along with a student ID copy.
Applicants visiting friends or relatives in Turkey must provide an invitation letter, along with the inviter’s Turkish ID, residence permit, or passport copy and address proof.

For employers, proprietors, partners, or directors, notarized company registration documents and GST/Udyam registration are required. If unavailable, an explanation must be provided.

Financial & Monetary Documents

Applicants must show strong financial capacity. Required documents include salary slips, six months’ salary bank statements, six months’ personal bank statements stamped and signed by the bank, Form 16, and ITR for the last three years. The minimum required bank balance is INR 1,00,000 per person. Retired, freelance, or unemployed applicants must provide appropriate income explanations and proof.

Travel & Supporting Documents

Applicants must submit round-trip flight reservations, confirmed or on-hold, and hotel reservations covering the full stay. Travel insurance covering the entire stay in Turkey is mandatory and can be arranged at the visa centre.

Additional documents such as passport copies, civil status proof (Aadhar, PAN), previous passports, address proof, and notarized affidavits may be required. Special rules apply for minors, sponsored applicants, group travelers, and family members traveling together.

Processing Time

Turkey tourist visa processing time generally ranges between 10–15 working days, though it may take longer depending on the applicant’s profile, document verification, or embassy discretion. Applicants are advised to apply well in advance, as passport return by a fixed date cannot be guaranteed.

Entry Rules & Compliance

Visa approval does not guarantee entry into Turkey. Final entry decisions are made by immigration officers at the port of entry. Travelers must respect visa validity, avoid overstaying, and must not engage in paid work or unauthorized activities.

Nepal Begins Budget Work, Sets Up Revenue Advisory Committee to Shape Tax and Economic Reforms

Nepal Begins Budget Work, Sets Up Revenue Advisory Committee to Shape Tax and Economic Reforms Kathmandu — Nepal’s Ministry of Finance has formally kicked off the process of preparing the national budget for the upcoming fiscal year by constituting a Revenue Advisory Committee, signaling the start of the government’s annual fiscal planning cycle. Officials say the move is aimed at collecting structured policy input before the budget ceiling, priorities, and tax proposals are finalized. According to the ministry, the committee has been formed under a decision of Finance Minister Rameshwar Prasad Khanal dated Magh 28 (Nepali calendar), with the Ministry’s Revenue Secretary serving as coordinator. The ministry’s spokesperson, Tank Prasad Pandey, said the committee has already started work, indicating that early-stage consultations and technical reviews are now underway. At its core, the committee’s mandate is broader than routine “tax suggestions.” It has been asked to advise on the economic context and on what the budget should prioritize—meaning it can influence both the revenue strategy (how the state raises money) and the policy direction (where the state plans to intervene, reform, or incentivize). In practice, such committees often become the route through which competing interests—business groups, sector associations, experts, and government agencies—try to shape the budget narrative.
