Turkey Visit Visa from Nepal 2026: Complete Application Guide

Turkey is one of the most preferred destinations for Nepali travelers due to its deep Islamic heritage, historical landmarks, modern cities, and unique position between Europe and Asia. In 2026, Nepalese passport holders planning to visit Turkeyfor tourism, leisure, or visiting friends and relatives must apply for a Turkey Visit (Tourist) Visa in advance. Turkey does not provide visa-on-arrival or a fully online eVisa facility for Nepali citizens, so all applications must be processed through the official visa channel.

Applicants residing in Nepal can generally apply for a Turkey visit visa up to 60 days in advance, and in some cases up to 90 days before travel, depending on the visa type and embassy discretion.

Visa Authority & Application Channel

All Turkey visit visa applications from Nepal are processed through VFS Global – Türkiye Visa Application Centres. The authority responsible for visa issuance is the Embassy of Türkiye in New Delhi, India. Applicants must submit their applications in person or through an authorized representative, strictly following the document order and submission guidelines set by VFS and the Embassy.

Turkey Visit Visa Types

Nepali travelers may apply for:
Single-entry visit visa
Multiple-entry visit visa
Single transit visa
Double transit visa

The final visa type, validity, and number of entries are decided by the Turkish Embassy after evaluating the applicant’s profile, financial strength, and travel history.

Turkey Visit Visa Fees (2026)

Visa fees are divided into two parts: official embassy fees and VFS service charges.

Official Visa Fees (INR – Demand Draft):
Single Entry – INR 5,400
Multiple Entry – INR 16,200
Single Transit – INR 5,400
Double Transit – INR 10,800

The demand draft must be made in favour of “Türkiye Embassy Consular Account Number 409000401176”, payable in New Delhi, India. A bank counter is available at the VFS centre to assist with demand draft preparation, with an additional fee of NPR 1,375.

Türkiye Visa Application Service Fees (NPR, incl. VAT):
Up to 3 months validity – NPR 20,945
Up to 6 months validity – NPR 24,170
Up to 1 year validity – NPR 27,395

Service fees must be paid in cash or QR only at the visa centre and are non-refundable.

Mandatory Documents for Turkey Visit Visa

Applicants must submit a complete and properly arranged document file.

A visa application form must be filled manually using blue or black ink in block letters, signed by the applicant or legal guardian for minors, with one biometric photograph affixed. The signature must match across all documents.

A valid passport is required, issued within the last 10 years, valid for at least six months upon arrival in Turkey, and containing at least two blank pages. If the passport was issued outside the jurisdiction of the Turkish Consulate General in New Delhi, local address proof is mandatory.

Applicants must provide two recent biometric photographs with white background, taken within the last six months, with full face visibility and no spectacles.

A detailed covering letter explaining the purpose of travel, itinerary, duration of stay, occupation, accompanying persons, and expense responsibility is mandatory. Travel dates must match all other documents.

Employed applicants must submit an original leave letter from the employer. Students must provide a No Objection Letter from their institution along with a student ID copy. Applicants visiting friends or relatives in Turkey must submit an invitation letter along with the inviter’s Turkish ID or residence permit and address proof.

Financial Requirements

Strong financial documentation is critical. Applicants are generally required to submit salary slips, six months’ salary and personal bank statements stamped by the bank, tax documents, and proof of a minimum balance of INR 1,00,000 per person. Sponsored applicants must include a sponsorship letter and sponsor’s financial documents.

Travel & Supporting Documents

Applicants must submit round-trip flight reservations, hotel bookings covering the entire stay, and valid travel insurance for the full duration in Turkey. Additional documents such as civil status proof, passport copies, previous passports, address proof, and notarized affidavits may be requested depending on individual cases.

Processing Time

The standard processing time for a Turkey visit visa is approximately 10–15 working days from the date of submission at VFS Global. Processing time may vary depending on the applicant’s profile, document verification, or embassy workload. Applicants are advised to apply well in advance, as passport return by a fixed date cannot be guaranteed.

Entry Rules & Compliance

Visa approval does not guarantee entry into Turkey. Final entry decisions are made by Turkish immigration officers at the port of entry. Travelers must comply with visa validity, avoid overstaying, and must not engage in paid work or unauthorized activities.
