वीरगन्ज नाका हुँदै चालु आर्थिक वर्षको सात महिनामा विद्युतीय सवारीसाधनको आयात उल्लेख्य रूपमा बढेको छ। यस अवधिमा १ अर्ब ४८ करोड ६४ लाख रुपैयाँ बराबरका ४९७ वटा विद्युतीय जिप, कार र भ्यान आयात हुँदा ९६ करोड ३६ लाख रुपैयाँ राजस्व संकलन भएको छ, जुन गत आवको सोही अवधिको तुलनामा उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि हो। त्यस्तै, विद्युतीय मोटरसाइकलतर्फ भने संख्यामा कमी आए पनि ८० करोड ५७ लाख रुपैयाँका १,१२८ वटा आयात भएका छन्। इन्धनबाट चल्ने सवारीसाधनतर्फ भने आयात र राजस्व दुवैमा गिरावट देखिएको छ। समग्रमा, चालु आवको सात महिनामा २३ अर्ब ५७ करोड रुपैयाँका सवारीसाधन तथा पार्टपुर्जा आयात हुँदा राजस्व संकलनमा पनि वृद्धि भएको देखिन्छ, जसले विद्युतीय सवारीप्रति बढ्दो आकर्षणलाई संकेत गर्दछ ।
Imports of electric vehicles through the Birgunj customs point have increased significantly in the first seven months of the current fiscal year. A total of 497 electric jeeps, cars, and vans worth Rs. 1.48 billion were imported, generating Rs. 963.6 million in revenue, marking a sharp rise compared to the same period last year. However, the number of imported electric motorcycles declined despite a total value of Rs. 805.7 million. Meanwhile, imports and revenue from fuel-powered vehicles have decreased. Overall, vehicle and spare parts imports reached Rs. 23.57 billion during the review period, indicating a growing shift toward electric mobility in Nepal.
