All Government Accounts to be Closed for a Week Starting Asar 24

1. All government accounts will be closed for one week starting midnight on Asar 24.

2. This closure is in accordance with Rule 30 of the Financial Procedures and Financial Accountability Regulations, 2077.

3. The Office of the Comptroller General (OCG) spokesperson, Om Prasad Rijal, provided this information.

4. The Local Treasury Management Information System (SuTRA), Treasury Single Account (TSA), and Computerized Government Accounting System (CGAS) will be closed.

5. Accounts of federal, provincial, and local levels will be closed for one week.

6. The payment obligations for the current fiscal year 2080/81 must be settled by Asar 24.

7. According to the Appropriation Act, except for titles specified as 'non-freezable', no other payments can be made.

8. Essential expenses can be paid with the consent of the OCG.
