काठमाडौँ — बागमती प्रदेशअन्तर्गतको समस्याग्रस्त सहकारी व्यवस्थापन समितिले समस्याग्रस्त घोषित पाँच सहकारी संस्थाका ११४ जना ठूला ऋणीको नामावली सार्वजनिक गरेको छ । शुक्रबारको निर्णयअनुसार नाम सार्वजनिक गरिएका ऋणीहरूलाई सम्बन्धित सहकारीबाट लिएको ऋण तत्काल चुक्ता गर्न समितिले आग्रह गरेको छ ।
ऋणी संख्याका हिसाबले सबैभन्दा धेरै दर्शन बचत तथा ऋण सहकारी संस्था लिमिटेडका ५४ जनाको नाम सूचीमा छ । त्यस्तै सुमेरु सेभिङ एन्ड क्रेडिट को-अपरेटिभ लिमिटेडका ३१, लालीगुराँस सेभिङ एन्ड क्रेडिट को-अपरेटिभ लिमिटेडका १३, नेसनल नमोबुद्ध बचत तथा ऋण सहकारी संस्था लिमिटेडका ११ र सिभिल सेभिङ एन्ड क्रेडिट को-अपरेटिभ लिमिटेडका पाँच जना ऋणीको विवरण सार्वजनिक गरिएको छ ।
समितिमा उपलब्ध ऋण विवरणकै आधारमा नामावली सार्वजनिक गरिएको समिति सदस्य रामेश्वर ढकाल बताउँछन् । समस्याग्रस्त सहकारीको रकम असुली प्रक्रियालाई प्रभावकारी बनाउन र बचतकर्ताको रकम फिर्ता गर्ने काम सहज पार्न यो कदम चालिएको समितिको भनाइ छ — अर्थात् ठूला ऋणीमाथि सार्वजनिक दबाबमार्फत असुली तीव्र बनाउने रणनीति हो यो ।
असुलीबाट उठेको रकम बचतकर्तालाई फिर्ता गर्ने प्रक्रियामै उपयोग गरिने समितिले जनाएको छ ।
पछिल्ला वर्षहरूमा वित्तीय संकटका कारण समस्याग्रस्त घोषित सहकारी संस्थाहरूमा बचतकर्ताको ठूलो रकम फसेपछि सरकार र नियामक निकायले ऋण असुली तथा सम्पत्ति व्यवस्थापनको प्रक्रिया तीव्र बनाउँदै आएका छन् । ऋणीको नाम नै सार्वजनिक गर्ने पछिल्लो कदम त्यही अभियानको निरन्तरता हो ।
KATHMANDU — The Problematic Cooperatives Management Committee under Bagmati Province has made public the names of 114 large borrowers of five cooperative institutions declared troubled. Under its decision on Friday, the committee has urged the named borrowers to immediately clear the loans they took from the respective cooperatives.
By number of borrowers, Darshan Savings and Credit Cooperative Ltd tops the list with 54 names. The disclosure also covers 31 borrowers of Sumeru Saving and Credit Co-operative Ltd, 13 of Laligurans Saving and Credit Co-operative Ltd, 11 of National Namobuddha Savings and Credit Cooperative Ltd and five of Civil Saving and Credit Co-operative Ltd.
The list was published on the basis of the loan records available to the committee, says committee member Rameshwar Dhakal. The step, according to the committee, is intended to make the recovery of the troubled cooperatives' money more effective and to ease the process of returning depositors' funds — in effect, a strategy of accelerating recovery by putting big defaulters under public pressure.
The money recovered from the loans, the committee says, will be channeled into the process of refunding depositors.
With large sums of depositors' savings stuck in cooperatives declared troubled amid the financial strains of recent years, the government and regulatory bodies have been stepping up loan recovery and asset management efforts. The latest move to publish borrowers' names marks a continuation of that drive.
