Kathmandu — Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited has signed a 15-year franchise and management agreement with India’s leading international hotel chain, Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, to operate its hotel in Bandipur under the Lemon Tree brand.

Following the agreement, the Bandipur-based hotel will be operated under Lemon Tree Hotels’ international branding, marking a significant step toward positioning Bandipur as a global tourism destination.

The signing ceremony was held at Lemon Tree Hotels Limited’s corporate headquarters in New Delhi. The agreement was signed on behalf of Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited by Chief Authorized Consultant Bishnu Panthi, while Lemon Tree Hotels Limited was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Vilas Pawar.

Under the agreement, Lemon Tree Hotels will oversee hotel management, branding, international marketing, service quality control, human resource development, and provide access to its global reservation system. The partnership is expected to strengthen Bandipur’s appeal to international tourists.

With a global footprint of more than 100 hotels and over 9,000 rooms across India, the Middle East, and other Asian countries, Lemon Tree Hotels’ extensive network, strong presence in the corporate travel segment, and collaboration with international tour operators are expected to elevate Bandipur’s tourism profile.

According to the company, the partnership represents a major strategic milestone for Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited. Collaboration with an international brand is expected to increase hotel occupancy rates, boost foreign currency earnings, ensure revenue stability, and have a long-term positive impact on the company’s brand value. The company also stated that the agreement would strengthen investor confidence and enhance market credibility.

The agreement is expected to lead to increased international tourist arrivals in the Bandipur region, create local employment opportunities, and improve service quality and tourism infrastructure. The hotel in Bandipur will soon begin formal operations under the Lemon Tree Hotels brand in line with international standards, the company said.
