Budget for Fiscal Year 2081/082 to be Announced Today

The government is set to announce the budget for the fiscal year 2081/082 today. A joint session of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly has been called for 1 PM to present the budget. Prior to this, a Cabinet meeting will be held to approve the budget. Finance Minister pun is expected to present a budget of around 1.9 trillion rupees.

In the current fiscal year, the government had presented a budget of 1.751 trillion rupees. This year’s budget will include some new programs, reforms, and initiatives to encourage private sector investment. New laws will be introduced to resolve disputes arising from last year's taxes and to better organize tax regulations.
