The budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2081/082 will be presented at 1 PM on Tuesday, May 28. This announcement was made by Speaker Devraj Ghimire during Sunday's House of Representatives meeting. He informed that a joint session of the Federal Parliament will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday to present the annual revenue and expenditure estimates for the fiscal year 2081/082.
Speaker Ghimire requested all members of the House of Representatives to be present in the parliament by 12:45 PM. According to Article 119 of the Constitution, the budget must be presented in a joint session of the Federal Parliament on May 28. Finance Minister Barshman Pun will present the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
In previous years, the budget was typically presented in the afternoon. However, this year, the parliament session has been called earlier to present the budget. This will provide members of parliament with more time to understand and discuss the budget.
Finance Minister Pun is expected to focus on the expansion of agriculture, improvements in the service sector, and progress in the construction sector in the upcoming budget. He has indicated that the budget will include provisions to ensure economic stability, create jobs, and accelerate development projects.
This year's budget is expected to further drive economic improvement and development in the country. Minister Pun has expressed a commitment to implementing new policies and programs to ensure good governance and transparency in financial management.
Presenting the budget on the constitutionally mandated date is a key responsibility of the parliament. This budget is anticipated to provide new direction for the country's economic stability and development. The joint session of parliament to present the budget is a significant part of the nation's economic activities and will offer guidance for the upcoming fiscal year.
