बालुवाटारमा आज मन्त्रिपरिषद बैठक, गभर्नर नियुक्तिको सम्भावनाCabinet Meeting Scheduled for Today at Baluwatar, Governor Appointment Likely
प्रधानमन्त्रीको सरकारी निवास बालुवाटारमा आज साँझ मन्त्रिपरिषद बैठक बस्ने तयारी गरिएको छ। बैठक साँझ ५ बजेका लागि बोलाइएको हो।
सरकारी स्रोतअनुसार, सोमबार नियमितरूपमा बस्ने भनिएको बैठक प्रधानमन्त्रीको स्वास्थ्यमा समस्या आएपछि स्थगित गरिएको थियो। स्थगित बैठक आजका लागि सारिएको हो।
आजको बैठक महत्वपूर्ण मानिएको छ, किनभने राष्ट्र बैंकको गभर्नर नियुक्ति प्रक्रियामा टुंगो लाग्ने सम्भावना रहेको बताइएको छ। अपराह्न ४ बजे गभर्नर सिफारिस समितिको बैठक पनि बस्दैछ। यसअघि प्रधानमन्त्री ओली र नेपाली कांग्रेस सभापति शेरबहादुर देउवाबीच भेटवार्ता भएको थियो, जसमा गभर्नरको नामबारे अन्तिम सहमति जुटाउने प्रयास भएको थियो।
स्रोतहरूका अनुसार, गभर्नरको नियुक्तिबारे सहमति जुटेमा मन्त्रिपरिषद बैठकले आजै निर्णय गर्ने सम्भावना बलियो देखिएको छ।
A cabinet meeting is scheduled to take place this evening at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar. The meeting is set to begin at 5 PM.
According to government sources, the regular cabinet meeting that was supposed to be held on Monday had to be postponed due to the Prime Minister’s health issues. With improvements in his condition, the meeting has now been rescheduled for today.
Today’s meeting is considered important as the appointment of the new Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank is likely to be finalized. Earlier this afternoon, the Governor Recommendation Committee is also set to hold its meeting at 4 PM. Prior to that, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba held discussions, reportedly to reach a consensus on the Governor appointment.
If an agreement is reached, sources suggest that the cabinet might go ahead and confirm the new Governor today itself.
