Discussion Between Nepal Economic Association and Finance Ministry on Economic Reforms

The Nepal Economic Association (NEA) held discussions with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel regarding the current economic situation and building a sustainable economy.
NEA President Prof. Bishwambhar Pyakurel stated that the association has been collaborating with the Ministry of Finance for many years and remains committed to steering the economy in the right direction in the days to come. He highlighted NEA’s role in providing advice and solutions based on research and studies focused on enhancing productivity and implementing sustainable measures.
Finance Minister Paudel acknowledged NEA as an umbrella organization of economists and praised its past contributions to economic matters.
The discussion at the Ministry included NEA Vice President Prof. Govinda Nepal, General Secretary Dr. Gopal Prasad Tiwari, Secretary Dr. Khom Kharel, economists Keshav Acharya, Prof. Keshav Raj Khadka, and Dr. Yadav Mani Ghimire, among others.
NEA expressed its commitment to supporting the government in implementing necessary policies and programs. It also pledged to contribute towards making the economic reforms and other initiatives launched by the Finance Ministry more effective.
