काठमाडौं — विवादास्पद व्यक्तित्व दुर्गा प्रसाईँ सोमबार मध्यरातमा पक्राउ परेका छन्। जिल्ला प्रहरी परिसर काठमाडौं र काठमाडौं उपत्यका अपराध अनुसन्धान कार्यालय (कुहिर) को संयुक्त टोलीले भक्तपुरस्थित प्रसाईँको निवासबाट उनलाई नियन्त्रणमा लिएको प्रहरी स्रोतले जनाएको छ।

प्रहरीका अनुसार हिंसा भड्काउन सक्ने, अराजक गतिविधि प्रोत्साहन गर्ने अभिव्यक्ति सार्वजनिक गरेको आरोपमा प्रसाईँलाई पक्राउ गरिएको हो। पछिल्ला दिनहरूमा उनले विभिन्न कार्यक्रम तथा सामाजिक सञ्जालमार्फत उत्तेजनात्मक अभिव्यक्ति दिएको भन्दै प्रहरी सतर्क थियो।

यसअघि १५ चैतमा भएका हिंसात्मक गतिविधिपछि प्रसाईँ पक्राउ परी अदालतको आदेशमा रिहा भएका थिए।
राजावादी गतिविधिमा सक्रिय भनिएका प्रसाईँले बैंकबाट लिएको ऋण मिनाहा गरिदिनुपर्ने, राजनीतिक व्यवस्थामा परिवर्तन गर्ने लगायतका माग राख्दै पुनः आन्दोलनको तयारी गरिरहेका थिए।

प्रहरी अधिकारीहरूका अनुसार प्रसाईँविरुद्ध थप अनुसन्धान भइरहेको छ र आवश्यक कारबाहीका लागि प्रक्रिया अघि बढाइनेछ।

Kathmandu — Controversial public figure Durga Prasai was arrested at midnight on Monday. A joint team from the District Police Range, Kathmandu, and the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office detained him from his residence in Bhaktapur, according to police sources.

Police stated that Prasai was taken into custody on charges of making provocative statements that could incite violence and fuel anarchic activities. Authorities had been closely monitoring him after he repeatedly issued inflammatory remarks through public events and social media.

Earlier, Prasai had been arrested following the violent protests of Chaitra 15 but was later released by court order.
Known for his pro-monarchy activism, Prasai had recently been preparing for another round of protests, demanding the waiver of bank loans and calling for changes in the current political system.

Police officials said further investigation is underway, and necessary legal actions will follow as the case progresses.
