इष्टर्न हाइड्रोपावरको ५५ लाख बढी सेयर लकइन अवधि खुल्दैEastern Hydropower’s 5.5 Million Shares to Be Free from Lock-In
इष्टर्न हाइड्रोपावर लिमिटेडको ठूलो परिमाणमा रहेको सेयरको लकइन अवधि अब समाप्त हुन लागेको छ । २०८२ साल कार्तिक १६ गतेदेखि कम्पनीका संस्थापक, आयोजना प्रभावित स्थानीय तथा कर्मचारीसँग रहेका कुल ५५ लाख ४१ हजार २९५ कित्ता सेयर बजारमा बिक्री गर्न मिल्नेछ।
कम्पनीका संस्थापकले धारण गरेका ४९ लाख ६० हजार कित्ता, आयोजना प्रभावित स्थानीयको नाममा रहेको ५ लाख ६९ हजार ६९५ कित्ता, र कर्मचारीसँग रहेको ११ हजार ६०० कित्ता सेयर यसअघि तीन वर्षका लागि लकइनमा राखिएका थिए।
नेपालको सेयर बजार नियमअनुसार सार्वजनिक निष्काशनमार्फत बाँडफाँड भएको सेयरको ३ वर्षसम्म संस्थापक र कर्मचारीले सेयर बिक्री गर्न नपाउने व्यवस्था छ। तर, लकइन अवधि सकिएपछि उनीहरूले आफ्ना सेयर बिक्री गर्न पाउनेछन्।
यद्यपि, कम्पनीका सञ्चालकले भने आफ्ना सेयर तत्काल बिक्री गर्न पाउने छैनन्।
Eastern Hydropower Limited is set to see the end of the lock-in period for a large portion of its shares. Starting from Kartik 16, 2082 (November 1, 2025), a total of 5,541,295 shares held by founders, project-affected locals, and company employees will become tradable in the secondary market.
Out of this, 4.96 million shares are held by the company’s founders, 569,695 shares by project-affected locals, and 11,600 shares by employees. These shares had been under a mandatory three-year lock-in period after the company’s IPO allotment.
According to Nepali securities regulations, founders and employees cannot sell their allotted shares for three years after public issuance. Once the lock-in period expires, they are free to trade them in the market.
However, directors of the company are still restricted from selling their shares.
