Everest Bank and NCHL Sign 'Alipay Plus' Cross-Border Payment Agreement

In a significant step towards modernizing Nepal's banking sector and advancing cross-border payment services, Everest Bank Limited and Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) have signed an important agreement. This agreement aims to facilitate payment services for Nepal-Pay merchants using the 'Alipay Plus' network.

Agreement Signing: The agreement was signed by Sudesh Khaling, Chief Executive Officer of Everest Bank, and Nilesh Man Singh Pradhan, Chief Executive Officer of NCHL.

Payment Facility: Under this agreement, payments can be made through the Alipay Plus network on Nepal-Pay QR codes and interoperable QR codes within Nepal.

Benefits for Tourists: Tourists from countries including China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Mongolia, Thailand, South Korea, Sweden, Italy, and others will be able to make payments easily using their domestic wallets.

Alipay Plus Reach: The Alipay Plus network includes 66 global markets, over 30 issuing tools, and more than 300 acquiring networks, connecting with over 900 million global merchants.

NCHL's Initiative: NCHL has already partnered with Alipay Plus as an international payment partner, ensuring the smooth management of payment services.
