Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel Meets with Senior Officials from the Asian Development Bank and World Bank

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, who is attending the annual meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, held talks with Yigmin Yag, Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Key Discussion Topics: During the meeting, discussions focused on the current capital, cooperation, and future projects between Nepal and the ADB, according to the Nepalese Embassy.
ADB's Contribution to Nepal's Development: Minister Paudel expressed his appreciation for the significant role the ADB has played in Nepal’s development and infrastructure projects.
Gratitude for Grant: Minister Paudel also thanked the ADB for providing a grant of USD 3 million to assist Nepal in recovering from recent floods and landslides.
New Partnership Strategy: Vice President Yag briefed Minister Paudel on the structural process of ADB’s new partnership strategy.
Minister Paudel also met with Wimpy Saputra, Executive Director of the World Bank, who assured that the bank would increase its participation in Nepal's development efforts. Additionally, the minister had talks with Ricardo Puliti, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
These meetings are expected to play a key role in strengthening the cooperation between Nepal and international financial institutions.
