Finance Minister Khanal Meets ADB President in the U.S., Discusses Progress of Nepal’s Development Projects

Nepal’s Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal, who is currently in the United States to attend the World Bank Annual Meeting, held a meeting with Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Masato Kanda on Wednesday.
According to the Embassy of Nepal in Washington D.C., the meeting focused on reviewing the progress, achievements, and challenges of ADB-supported projects currently being implemented in Nepal.
The meeting was also attended by Lok Darshan Regmi, Nepal’s Ambassador to the United States, Yugraj Pandey, Economic Consular at the embassy, members of the visiting delegation, and senior officials from the ADB.
Discussions also covered topics such as economic reform, infrastructure development, and investment climate improvement in Nepal.
Nepal and the ADB have maintained a long-standing partnership in areas including energy, road connectivity, education, and water management, and this meeting has been viewed as an opportunity to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two sides.
