उपप्रधान तथा अर्थमन्त्री विष्णु पौडेलले निर्माण व्यवसायीहरूको बाँकी बक्यौता एक हप्ताभित्र भुक्तानी गरिने आश्वासन दिएका छन्। "विकास बजेटको परिचालन: सरकार र निजी क्षेत्रको भूमिका" विषयक कार्यक्रममा उनले निर्माण व्यवसायीहरूले गरेका गुनासाहरूलाई सम्बोधन गर्दै यस्तो बताएका हुन्।
नेपाल आर्थिक पत्रकार संघ (नाफिज), भौतिक पूर्वाधार तथा यातायात मन्त्रालय, र नेपाल निर्माण व्यवसायी महासंघको सहकार्यमा आयोजित उक्त कार्यक्रममा अर्थमन्त्री पौडेलले सरकारी योजनाहरू पूरा गरिसके पनि व्यवसायीहरूले अझै अर्बौं रुपैयाँ भुक्तानी नपाएको तथ्य स्वीकार गरे।
भुक्तानी समयसीमा:
व्यवसायीहरूलाई आइतबार सम्बन्धित मन्त्रालय र निकायमा जान आग्रह गर्दै भुक्तानी प्रक्रिया सुरु गरिने बताइएको छ।
सोमबारसम्म सबै भुक्तानी गरिसकिने उनले विश्वास व्यक्त गरे। ढिलोमा पनि एक हप्ताभित्र बक्यौता भुक्तानी हुने आश्वासन दिए।
यदि भुक्तानी अझै हुन नसके, आफूसँग सिधा सम्पर्क गर्न उनले आग्रह गर्दै समस्याको समाधानका लागि थप छलफल गर्ने प्रतिबद्धता जनाए।
बक्यौताको अन्योलता:
पौडेलले बक्यौता रकम कति हो भन्ने स्पष्टता नहुनाले समस्या झनै जटिल भएको स्वीकार गरे। तर, यसलाई यथाशीघ्र टुंग्याएर समस्या समाधान गरिने उनको भनाइ थियो।ऋण भुक्तानी समय थप्ने योजना:
निर्माण व्यवसायीहरूलाई मंसिर मसान्तभित्र ऋण तिर्नुपर्ने समयसीमा रहेको अवस्थामा नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकसँग छलफल गरी समय थप्ने योजना उनले अघि सारे। यसले व्यवसायीहरूलाई ठूलो राहत दिन सक्नेछ।सरकार र व्यवसायीको सम्बन्ध:
सरकार र निर्माण व्यवसायीबीच राम्रो सम्बन्ध आवश्यक रहेको बताउँदै पौडेलले भने, "दोषारोपण गरेर समस्या समाधान हुँदैन। हामी नदीका दुई किनारा होइनौं। हामी एउटै ढुंगामा अघि बढ्नुपर्छ।"
व्यवसायीहरूले आफूलाई सरकारकै हिस्सा ठान्न र सरकारले व्यवसायीलाई साझेदार मान्नुपर्ने उनको धारणा थियो।
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel has assured that pending payments to construction entrepreneurs will be cleared within a week. Speaking at a program titled “Mobilization of the Development Budget: Roles of the Government and the Private Sector”, he addressed the grievances of contractors who have not received billions of rupees in payments despite completing government projects.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Nepal Economic Journalists Association (NAFIJ), the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, and the Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal. During the program, Minister Poudel acknowledged that contractors have been waiting for payments from projects completed in the previous fiscal year.
Payment Timeline:
Contractors were advised to visit the relevant ministries and agencies on Sunday to process payments.
The Minister assured that payments would be made by Monday at the latest and guaranteed resolution within a week.
If payments are still delayed, he urged contractors to approach him directly for further discussions and solutions.
Uncertainty Over Pending Amounts:
Minister Poudel admitted that there is a lack of clarity on the total arrears. He emphasized that determining the exact amount would help expedite payments.Loan Repayment Extension:
Addressing the contractors’ concerns about upcoming loan repayment deadlines, he revealed plans to discuss extensions with Nepal Rastra Bank. The current repayment deadline is set for the end of Mangsir (mid-December).Government-Contractor Relationship:
Minister Poudel highlighted the importance of collaboration, stating, “Blaming each other will not solve problems. The government and contractors must maintain a strong and cooperative relationship.”
He urged contractors to see themselves as part of the government, while the government, in turn, views itself as a partner to the private sector.
