लुम्बिनीमा ‘विश्व शान्ति कार्यक्रम’: २५ अर्बपतिसहित १० हजारभन्दा बढी सहभागी हुनेGlobal Peace Program in Lumbini to Host 25 Billionaires and Over 10,000 Participants
मंसीर २४, २५ र २६ गते बुद्ध जन्मस्थल लुम्बिनीमा आयोजना हुन लागेको ‘विश्व शान्ति कार्यक्रम’मा विभिन्न देशका २५ अर्बपतिहरू सहभागी हुने भएका छन्। विश्व शान्ति कार्यक्रम प्रतिष्ठानले आयोजना गर्न लागेको तेस्रो संस्करणका कार्यक्रममा यो पहिलोपटक यति ठूलो संख्यामा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय अर्बपति तथा शीर्ष व्यक्तित्वहरूको उपस्थिति रहने भएको हो।
कार्यक्रमकी मिडिया संयोजक सुलोचना खतिवडाका अनुसार भारत, युरोप, मध्यपूर्व, अफ्रिका लगायतका मुलुकबाट उच्चस्तरीय पाहुनाहरू लुम्बिनी आउँदैछन्। विशेषगरी भारत केरलास्थित सिगल इन्टरनेशनल ग्रुपका अध्यक्ष डा. सुरेशकुमार मधुसुधान, स्वतन्त्र स्लोभेनियाका प्रथम प्रधानमन्त्री तथा युरोपेली संसदका पूर्व सदस्य लोज्जे पिटरले, इथियोपियाका पूर्व प्रधानमन्त्री ताम्रत लेन, युएई–भारतमा व्यापार विस्तारेका इराम होल्डिङ्सका डा. सिद्दिक अहमदलगायत प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्तिहरू सहभागी हुनेछन्।
खतिवडाका अनुसार कार्यक्रममा १० हजारभन्दा धेरै सहभागी रहने अपेक्षा छ। नेपाल तथा विदेशका राजनीतिक नेतृत्व, विद्वान, संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघका सांस्कृतिक दूत, अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय व्यापारका चिन्तक, कलाकार, युवा र सामुदायिक प्रतिनिधिहरूको सहभागिता रहनेछ। साथै लुम्बिनीस्थित चिनियाँ व्यापारी प्रतिनिधिमण्डलका सदस्यहरू पनि कार्यक्रममा सहभागी हुने जनाइएको छ।
तीन दिनसम्म चल्ने यस कार्यक्रमका प्रमुख विषयहरूमा शान्ति स्थापनाको भूमिका, जलवायु परिवर्तनका चुनौती, विकास र आन्तरिक कल्याण, सामाजिक न्याय, व्यावहारिक शान्ति निर्माण, नेतृत्व कौशल तथा स्थानीय शासनमा युवा, महिला, आदिवासी तथा सीमान्तकृत समुदायहरूको सहभागिता समेटिएको छ। यी विषयमा राष्ट्रिय तथा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विशेषज्ञहरूले बहस तथा छलफल चलाउने कार्यक्रम संयोजक शेखर गौतमले जानकारी दिए।
कार्यक्रममा सांस्कृतिक प्रदर्शनी, संगीत, कलात्मक प्रस्तुति तथा विभिन्न राष्ट्रका सांस्कृतिक पहिचान झल्काउने सत्रहरू पनि समावेश हुने छन्। आयोजकका अनुसार यस कार्यक्रमले लुम्बिनीलाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सांस्कृतिक तथा शान्ति गन्तव्यका रूपमा प्रवर्द्धन गर्न थप योगदान गर्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।
Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, is set to welcome 25 international billionaires as the third edition of the Global Peace Program takes place on December 9, 10 and 11 (Mangsir 24–26). This is the first time such a large group of high-profile business leaders and global influencers will be participating in the event, according to the program’s media coordinator Sulochana Khatri.
Khatri said the event will bring together influential personalities from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Among the key attendees are Dr. Sureshkumar Madhusudhan, Chairperson of Seagull International Group in Kerala, India; Lojze Peterle, the first Prime Minister of independent Slovenia and former Member of the European Parliament; Tamrat Layne, former Prime Minister of Ethiopia; and Dr. Siddiq Ahmed from Iram Holdings, a leading conglomerate operating in the UAE and India.
Organizers expect more than 10,000 participants to attend the three-day gathering. The event will host leaders from Nepal and abroad, scholars, UN cultural ambassadors, globally recognized business figures, artists, youth delegates and community representatives. A delegation of Chinese business representatives from Lumbini is also scheduled to participate.
According to program coordinator Shekhar Gautam, the discussions will focus on peacebuilding, climate change, sustainable development, inner well-being, social justice, practical peace implementation, leadership in daily life, and the inclusion of youth, women, indigenous communities, and marginalized voices in local governance. Experts from various countries will lead panel discussions, workshops and dialogues on these themes.
In addition to the formal sessions, the event will feature cultural exhibitions, musical performances and artistic showcases representing diverse global traditions. Organizers say the program aims to promote Lumbini as a global center for peace, culture and interfaith harmony, while fostering stronger international engagement with Nepal.
