Gold and Silver Prices Surge Sharply in the Nepali Market on Kartik 27

Kathmandu — The prices of gold and silver saw a significant rise in the Nepali market on Thursday, Kartik 27. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold increased by Rs. 5,900 per tola, reaching Rs. 250,200 per tola.

On Wednesday, hallmark gold was traded at Rs. 244,300 per tola, meaning the yellow metal witnessed a sharp single-day jump.

Similarly, silver prices rose by Rs. 170 per tola, reaching Rs. 3,345 per tola in Thursday’s market. The previous day, silver was traded at Rs. 3,175 per tola, marking a consistent upward trend that has now brought silver prices close to record levels.

Analysts attribute the surge in precious metal prices to rising global market rates, geopolitical tensions, and fluctuations in the U.S. dollar index, which have influenced bullion demand worldwide.
