Gold Declines While Silver Shines — Mixed Trend in Nepal’s Bullion Market

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025 (Kartik 12, 2082), the price of gold in Nepal declined while silver gained.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold decreased by Rs. 700 per tola, reaching Rs. 236,300. The previous day (Tuesday), gold had been traded at Rs. 237,000 per tola.

In contrast, silver prices increased by Rs. 45 per tola, climbing from Rs. 2,920 to Rs. 2,965 per tola.

This divergence in price movement between gold and silver reflects short-term global fluctuations and local market adjustments in precious metals ahead of the festive season.
