बुधबार पनि सुनको मूल्य ९ हजार ५०० रुपैयाँले बढेर ३ लाख १८ हजार ८०० रुपैयाँको नयाँ रेकर्ड कायम भएको थियो। २४ घण्टा नबित्दै उक्त रेकर्डलाई तोड्दै सुनको मूल्यले ३ लाख ४० हजारको विन्दुलाई पछ्याएको देखिन्छ।
चाँदीमा पनि नयाँ रेकर्ड सुनसँगै चाँदीको मूल्यमा पनि ठूलो वृद्धि भएको छ। बिहीबार चाँदी प्रतितोला २०५ रुपैयाँले महँगिएर ७ हजार ५०५ रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। बुधबार ७ हजार ३०० रुपैयाँमा कारोबार भएको चाँदीले पनि आफ्नो ऐतिहासिक उचाइ कायम गरेको हो।

नेपाली बजारमा सुन र चाँदीको मूल्यले दिनहुँ नयाँ रेकर्ड बनाउनुको पछाडि मुख्यतया तीनवटा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय कारणहरू देखिएका छन्:
१. विश्वव्यापी भू-राजनीतिक र आर्थिक अस्थिरता: अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा देखिएको भू-राजनीतिक तनाव र अमेरिकी ऋणसम्बन्धी चिन्ताका कारण लगानीकर्ताहरू सुरक्षित लगानीका रूपमा सुनतर्फ आकर्षित भएका छन्। डलरको तुलनामा सुनको माग बढ्दा यसको मूल्यमा विश्वव्यापी दबाब परेको हो।
२. केन्द्रीय बैंकहरूको सुन भण्डारण: विश्वका विभिन्न शक्तिशाली मुलुकका केन्द्रीय बैंकहरूले आफ्नो वैदेशिक मुद्रा सञ्चिति विविधीकरण गर्न ठूलो परिमाणमा सुन खरिद गरिरहेका छन्। माग र आपूर्तिबीचको यो असन्तुलनले मूल्यलाई ५ हजार डलर (प्रतिऔंस) माथि पुर्याएको छ।

अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सञ्चारमाध्यम रोयटर्सका अनुसार यस वर्ष मात्रै सुनको मूल्यमा २७ प्रतिशत र चाँदीमा ६० प्रतिशतभन्दा बढीको वृद्धि भइसकेको छ। नेपाली बजारमा पछिल्लो दुई दिनमा मात्रै सुनको मूल्य तोलामा ३० हजार रुपैयाँले बढेको छ।
