Kathmandu — The price of gold in the Nepali market has reached a historic high once again, setting a new record on Wednesday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of hallmark gold rose by Rs. 2,600 per tola today, reaching Rs. 238,000 per tola. On Tuesday, gold was traded at Rs. 235,400 per tola.
This marks the highest gold price ever recorded in Nepal, continuing the ongoing upward trend in the bullion market.
Meanwhile, the price of silver fell by Rs. 5 per tola, dropping to Rs. 2,955 per tola, according to the federation.
Analysts attribute the continued rise in gold prices to several factors, including increasing global gold rates, a strong U.S. dollar, and tight supply conditions in the domestic market.
