Government Announces Treasury Bill Auction Worth NPR 17.75 Billion

The Public Debt Management Office is set to conduct an auction today (Monday) for Treasury bills worth NPR 17.75 billion. This includes NPR 5 billion in new Treasury bills and NPR 12.75 billion for the renewal of existing Treasury bills.

Auction Time: Today, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, via an online platform.
Issuance Date: Tuesday.
New Treasury Bill: NPR 5 billion worth of 182-day Treasury bills.
Renewal Treasury Bills:

• NPR 5 billion in 28-day Treasury bills.

• NPR 7.75 billion in 91-day Treasury bills.

As per the government's internal debt schedule for the first quarter of the current fiscal year, NPR 115 billion is to be raised through internal borrowing. Previously, NPR 30 billion was collected through new Treasury bills and NPR 80 billion via development bonds.
