Government Honors Top Tax Payers on National Tax Day

On the occasion of National Tax Day celebrated on Mangsir 1, the government has honored the top taxpayers in 16 categories for their contributions to the national economy. These individuals and companies were recognized for paying the highest taxes in FY 2081/82.
The government has been observing National Tax Day on Mangsir 1 every year since V.S. 2054, marking the implementation of the Value Added Tax (VAT) Act. This year, the country celebrates 13 years of this annual observance.

Highest Income Tax Payer - Nepal Telecommunications Authority
Single Firm - Thai I International
Goods Sector - Dabur Nepal
Information Technology - Verix Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
Export Business - Dabur Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
Agriculture and Animal Husbandry - Poshak Breeder
Banking and Financial Institutions - Nepal Investment Bank
Health and Education - Nobel Medical College
Tourism - Solti Hotel
Commodity Trading - Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket
Mid-Level Tax Payer - Sidious and Clearing Ltd.
Energy Sector - Bhotekoshi Power Company
Remittance - IME
Personal Income Tax - Raj Bahadur Sah
Timely Tax Payers - Nepal Telecommunications Company Ltd.
Over 50 Crore Transactions - VF Services
Special Industry - Unilever Nepal
