सांसद र राजनीतिक पदाधिकारीको स्वकीय सचिव सुविधा खारेजGovernment Scraps Personal Secretary Facility for Lawmakers and Political Office Bearers
काठमाडौं । सरकारले सांसद र राजनीतिक पदाधिकारीलाई दिइँदै आएको स्वकीय सचिवको सुविधा खारेज गर्ने निर्णय गरेको छ। अर्थ मन्त्रालयका अनुसार मन्त्रीस्तरीय निर्णयमार्फत यस्तो सुविधा हटाइने भएको हो।
यस निर्णय अनुसार अबदेखि सांसदसहित अन्य राजनीतिक पदाधिकारीले स्वकीय सचिव राख्न पाउने छैनन्। तर, राष्ट्रपति, उपराष्ट्रपति, प्रधानमन्त्री, प्रतिनिधिसभाका सभामुख, राष्ट्रिय सभाका अध्यक्ष, प्रदेश प्रमुख तथा संघ–प्रदेश सरकारका मन्त्रीहरू भने स्वकीय सचिव राख्न सक्नेछन्।
त्यस्तै, राष्ट्रपति, उपराष्ट्रपति, प्रधानमन्त्री, सभामुख र राष्ट्रिय सभाका अध्यक्ष बाहेक नेपाल सरकार, प्रदेश तथा स्थानीय तहका पदाधिकारीका लागि सल्लाहकार नियुक्ति गर्न पनि रोक लगाइने भएको छ।
अर्थ मन्त्रालयले सार्वजनिक खर्चमा मितव्ययिता कायम गर्न र स्रोतको प्रभावकारी उपयोग सुनिश्चित गर्न यस्ता सुविधा कटौती गरिएको स्पष्ट पारेको छ। मन्त्रालयका अनुसार सार्वजनिक संरचना पुनर्निर्माण, मर्मत, सेवा प्रवाह, निर्वाचन खर्च व्यवस्थापन र आर्थिक पुनरुत्थान जस्ता तत्काल आवश्यक क्षेत्रमा स्रोत केन्द्रित गर्न विकास आयोजना पुनः प्राथमिकता गर्ने, अनुत्पादक खर्च कटौती गर्ने तथा मितव्ययिताका नयाँ निर्देशिका लागू गरिएको हो।
Kathmandu – The Government of Nepal has decided to abolish the facility of personal secretaries for lawmakers and political office bearers. According to the Ministry of Finance, the decision was made at the ministerial level as part of a cost-cutting measure.
With this decision, Members of Parliament and other political office holders will no longer be entitled to personal secretaries. However, the facility will still be available to the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chairperson of the National Assembly, Provincial Chiefs, and ministers of both the federal and provincial governments.
Similarly, except for the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Speaker, and Chairperson of the National Assembly, government officials at the federal, provincial, and local levels will not be allowed to appoint advisors.
The Ministry of Finance stated that the decision aims to ensure fiscal discipline and the effective mobilization of resources. The ministry emphasized that the move will help reduce unproductive expenditure and prioritize resources towards urgent needs such as reconstruction and maintenance of public infrastructure, delivery of public services, election expenses, and economic recovery programs.
