जंगली जनावरबाट हुने नोक्सानी रोक्न सरकारको पहल, बाँदर प्रभावित क्षेत्रमा विशेष खेतीमा प्रोत्साहनGovernment to Control Crop Damage from Wild Animals; Special Incentives for Alternative Farming in Monkey-Affected Areas
बाँदर, बँदेल, नीलगाई लगायतका जंगली जनावरबाट खेतीबालीमा हुने नोक्सानी नियन्त्रण गर्न सरकारले विशेष उपायहरू अपनाउने घोषणा गरेको छ।
संघीय संसद्को संयुक्त बैठकमा आगामी आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/०८३ को बजेट प्रस्तुत गर्दै उपप्रधान तथा अर्थमन्त्री विष्णुप्रसाद पौडेलले कृषि उत्पादनमा नोक्सानी पु¥याउने जंगली जनावरको नियन्त्रणका लागि नीति र कार्यक्रम लागू गरिने जानकारी दिएका हुन्।
उनले बाँदरको जोखिम रहेका क्षेत्रमा सिमल, तरुण बेसार, चिया, कफी, अदुवा, खुर्सानी लगायतका बाली खेती गर्न प्रोत्साहन गरिने बताए।
सरकारले यस नीतिमार्फत कृषकलाई सुरक्षासहितको उत्पादन वातावरण प्रदान गर्ने, खाद्य सुरक्षामा सुधार ल्याउने र कृषिमा लगानी बढाउने लक्ष्य लिएको छ। कृषि उत्पादनलाई प्रोत्साहन गर्दै जैविक विविधता र वन्यजन्तुको व्यवस्थापनमा सन्तुलन कायम राख्न सरकार प्रतिबद्ध रहेको बजेट वक्तव्यमा उल्लेख गरिएको छ।
Kathmandu, May 29 – The Government of Nepal has announced measures to minimize crop damage caused by wild animals such as monkeys, wild boars, and nilgai.
While presenting the budget for fiscal year 2082/83 in the joint session of the Federal Parliament, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel said the government will implement control measures to address the losses farmers face due to wild animal intrusions in agricultural fields.
He further stated that in areas highly affected by monkeys, the government will promote the cultivation of crops like simal (silk cotton), turmeric, tea, coffee, ginger, and chili, which are less vulnerable to wildlife damage.
The government aims to create a safer and more productive environment for farmers, enhance food security, and encourage greater investment in agriculture. The budget also reflects the government's commitment to balancing agricultural growth with biodiversity and wildlife management.
