सरकारले नेपाल विद्युत् प्राधिकरणका कार्यकारी निर्देशक कुलमान घिसिङलाई पदबाट हटाउने निर्णय गरेको छ। मन्त्रिपरिषद्को सोमबार बसेको बैठकले यो निर्णय गरेको एक मन्त्रीले पुष्टि गरेका छन्। लोडसेडिङ अन्त्य गरेर चर्चित बनेका घिसिङको कार्यकालबारे लामो समयदेखि बहस चल्दै आएको थियो।
सरकारले उनको ठाउँमा नयाँ नेतृत्व ल्याउने तयारी गरेको स्रोतले जनाएको छ, तर नयाँ कार्यकारी निर्देशकको नाम भने खुलाइएको छैन। यो निर्णयले ऊर्जा क्षेत्रमा नयाँ तरंग ल्याएको छ। घिसिङलाई हटाउने कदमको समर्थन र विरोधमा आवाज उठ्न थालेका छन्। कतिपयले सरकारको यो कदमलाई राजनीतिकरणको आरोप लगाएका छन् ।
A minister has confirmed that the cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to remove Kulman Ghising from his position as the executive director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). Ghising, who gained fame for ending load shedding, has been the subject of a prolonged debate regarding his tenure.
